Serving Waller County Voters

Debbie Hollan, Waller County Clerk, is the Chief Election Official for all elections conducted by Waller County. It is the responsibility of the Elections Office to administer the election process and comply with the statutory functions outlined in federal and state law under the United States Constitution, the United States Federal Code, and the Texas Election Code Laws. The Waller County Elections Office staff comply with the high standards needed to achieve election integrity. Election integrity is a necessity directed by law and cannot be compromised.

The primary duties of the Election Office include:

  • Acquire early voting locations as approved by Commissioners Court.
  • Establish election day voting locations as approved by Commissioners Court.
  • Coding the election and tabulating all votes.
  • Accepting requests for ballots sent by mail and tabulating all returned ballots.
  • Depository for all official campaign disclosure forms for local candidates.
  • Educate all election workers to ensure compliance with state and federal election laws.
  • Resource center for Waller County schools, cities and other entities needing to contract with the County for their local elections.
  • Archive election results from past elections as required by law.
